Bismark Dzahene-Quarshie is a seasoned Senior ICT Specialist with a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in progressively challenging Management and Leadership roles within the fields of Information Communication Technology Management, Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas, and Higher Education.
Presently, Bismark holds the position of Deputy Director of ICT Services at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, where he oversees Policy Strategy and Support. Additionally, he is a Co-Founder of GeeksGiveBack Africa, a nonprofit ICT organization based in Ghana that focuses on leveraging the expertise of IT volunteers to address the digital divide in Africa.
Beyond this, Bismark is an accomplished Motivational Speaker and serves as a Personal Development, Business Development, and Career Development Consultant. He is deeply passionate about Coaching, Mentoring, and Grooming, exemplified through his involvement with Arbiter Career Academy, an organization dedicated to nurturing future leaders, where he currently serves as the President.
Bismark's professional contributions extend to his role as a Consultant for Tenth Generation Technology Solutions, holding the positions of Director of Information Technology and Consulting Projects Manager. Additionally, he serves as a Director at Campus Technology Solutions, a company specializing in providing comprehensive ICT solutions, from infrastructure to enterprise systems, specifically tailored for universities.
As an IT and Oil & Gas Expert, Bismark has provided consulting services for numerous esteemed organizations in Ghana, including the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice, The Judicial Service, EoH, and SAP Partner in South Africa, along with several multinational entities.
Bismark's international experience includes serving as an Analyst Programmer at Jones Lang LaSalle Ltd (European IT) in London, Web Systems Manager at Sambus Company Ltd in Accra, and Director of Operations at UBI Petroleum. He has also contributed to academia, holding roles such as Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, World Bank Project ICT Consultant and Lecturer at the Economic Policy Managementt, University of Ghana. Currently, he serves as an adjunct lecturer at Accra University of Technology while pursuing a PhD program in Information Security.
Educationally, Bismark holds a BSc in Geology and Physics from the University of Ghana, an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Kingston University in the UK, an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School, and various certificates in Project Management. Notably, he is a Commonwealth Fellow at the University of East London in the UK.
Furthermore, Bismark has actively contributed to eJustice initiatives, serving as a steering committee member on the implementation committee and successfully managing the SAP Case Management System project at the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice.
